Like most of you, I was awakened this morning at 4:39 (by my clock) to my bed shaking and a rumbling noise. John is out of town (of course), so it was just me trying to figure out what in the world was going on. Having been sound asleep and now trying to “ride” my shaking bed, it took me a while to realize that this was an earthquake. It scared Annie too because she jumped up off of her pillow and ran over by the bed.  It was over pretty quickly, but needless to say, I was not able to stop my mind from thinking of every possible horrible thing related to earthquakes   Being alone just added to my nervousness.
It was good to get to work this morning to have people around. Then, mid moring, an after-shock tremor hit. I was awake for this one, and it was interesting (and frightening) to feel the rocking build with intensity. I immediatly knew it was an earthquake this time, and not thinking of aftershocks, I was afraid this one was going to be worse. It was obviously not as strong as the earlier one, but it was still frightening. I certainly hope that that is the last one!
This was definitely an interesting experience.

Sorry I was out of town. I would have preferred to be there.
